hey all im sorry but this is a post to try an get some help for my dissertation in my third yr of university. i am looking into piercings and whether in modern day they are purely done for aesthetic and fashion reasonings and any deeper meaning is now obsolete. my aim is to prove otherwise and that although this is the case for the majority, piercings cannot just be dismissed as a contemporary 'fad'.

I would love u guys to please tell me what piercings u have and why exactly...

Hi everyone I am doing a school essay on body piercings and tatoos and would like some feedback from y'all if you care to share. I have 6 tattoos and 2 body piercings myself and got them for various reasons. The tatoos are mostly dragons and being of welsh decent mean something to my heritage. My eyebrow piercing I got because honestly I think they are just cute and the tongue because well we all know why most get them right?

Hi all. I got my tongue pierced about two months ago. After a month went by, I decided to stretch it to a 12 gauge. I didn't need to use a taper, as the barbell slid through with no resistance. But after about three days, it started to ache badly. I figured that I'd stretched too early, so I took out the 12 gauge barbell and put it the original (14 gauge). I waited another month, and today, tried it again. I couldn't get the barbell through! I tried a 12 gauge taper, but...

Tragus aftercare question

I just got my tragus pierced yesterday and was told by the piercer to not rotate the piercing or touch it and clean it around twice a month with Dr. Bronners as it heals better naturally. I have a threadless titanium stud in and it is 16 mm. However everyone else is telling me to clean it twice a day, but the piercer is reputable and it was a nice piercing place with great reviews and he told me to not listen to anyone else... so i'm not really sure what I should do. hi i had my navel pierced about 2 months ago and i think the jewelry is 2 big there is about 6mm between skin a top ball is it worth me changing it myself as its catchin and aggrivating it any suggestion ? goin back to original piercer isnt really an option
