I had my tongue pierced about two weeks ago. It seems to have healed well. Still a little sore underneath but more from the bar rubbing than anything I
think. I went to have the bar changed a week ago and he said it was still too swollen, which I know it was, so told me to try again in a few days. Went back
today and he says it's still a bit swollen and come back in a few more days... It's not sore and it doesn't look or feel swollen to me... I have a
generally quite thick tongue...

When it comes to aftercare of piercings, its alot safer just to wait it out until you are positive that a change will be okay. Its important not to change
jewelry before your tongue is ready because you could end up with a very nasty hole in your mouth!! True enough the longer bar gets a little frustrating, but
properly caring for your piercing will make things alot better in the long run.

As far as the mouth patches, thats new to me and it may come from an allergic reaction or...

red patches with white sounds a bit odd. what's your aftercare?

2 weeks is the bare minimum for swelling to go down. most people find it takes closer to 4 weeks before they can get the bar changed. it's better safe than
sorry with jewellery changes. changing it too soon can really set things back in the long run
