Just wondering if anyone in their experience has had a studio be okay with putting a quartz retainer in a fresh piercing? I ordered a 3/4 inch one off glasswear studios and a 5/8 inch one for downsizing. Does anyone have any tips on how I should approach my piercer with this idea? I want to get it pierced with the quartz retainer because I cant have it done at work and it will be easily hidden and it wont cause trauma to the piercing because I wont have to change it. Any suggestions or comments will be helpful. Thanks! P.S. I ordered quartz on purpose because i know it is safe or fresh piercing and can be autoclaved, I also do not play sports so breaking wont be an issue.

Good for you. When the jewelry arrives, you'll need to take it to your piercer to be autoclaved anyway, so I'd bring it up at that point. You're well armed with the information about the material, and I don't think most piercers will take issue with that.
