i wouldn't say it was rejecting but it's far from happy!
the jewellery looks far too short, pop back into your studio and see about getting a longer piece of jewellery. also, make sure it's decent material eg. titanium or surgical grade stainless steel. you should also choose jewellery without gems as the added weight causes more stress. i know the weight thing doesn't seem like it would be much but it really could make a difference. what's your aftercare? 3 times a day is likely to be too much and could be causing more irritation. remember to only use 1/8 teaspoon to a mug of water and do this twice a day. you
could replace one of the soaks with just a plain warm water soak. make sure that after each salt soak you rinse the sites with clean water too

It looks like it could be the beginning stages of rejection, due to improper aftercare. A pinch of salt to a cup of water isn't right. It's 1/4
teaspoon of non-iodized sea salt in 8oz (1 cup) of warm water, then just rinse with regular water afterward. It's important to keep your aftercare
consistent or the piercing could have problems. Be sure you're always washing your hands before touching it, and don't move it up and down, even during
cleaning. It's best to let your body adjust to the jewelry on its own.
